Myanmar Garment Human Resource Development Center (MGHRDC)

The Myanmar Garment Human Resource Development Center (MGHRDC) is an industry-specific training facility operated by the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA), a non-profit organization representing the country’s garment sector.

Established in 2009 with the support of experienced garment specialists from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), MGHRDC has since served as a full-time professional training center offering a wide range of programs. These include Basic and Advanced Sewing Training, Industrial Engineering (IE) Training, Applied Labour Law in the Garment Industry, Garment HR Management, Occupational Safety & Health, and other industry-relevant courses regularly organized by MGMA.

Graduates of MGHRDC’s foundational training programs are well-prepared to access higher-paying positions in the garment sector. At the same time, MGMA member factories benefit from a more skilled workforce, including qualified sewers and trained floor supervisors. MGHRDC is also recognized as one of the assessment centers under the National Skill Standard Authority (NSSA) of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population (MOLIP), offering nationally certified vocational qualifications and expanding its services to include training in human resources and productivity management for middle-level personnel.
