1. To be Member
Eligibility
The following individuals or business organizations may apply for membership.
- Whoever sole proprietor, partnership or private and public company limited (Native/Foreign) mainly manufacturing garments with complete necessary work equipments, as members in order for friendly and firmly cooperation between and among the garment manufacturers in Myanmar.[1]
- Any personal from the related businesses associated with garment industry and established under any existing law.[2]

Admission
Prospective members must pay the prescribed admission fee and any applicable contributions to the association’s designated sections upon application.
Membership Categories
MGMA offers standard membership to garment manufacturers (factories) and associate members, including suppliers, inspectors, designers, and other stakeholders in the garment industry.[3]

3. Membership Responsibility
All MGMA Members are subject to the terms & conditions below:
- Must pay annual membership fees as determined by the association. The fees must be paid within the stipulated timeframe to maintain active membership status.
- Must pay additional fees for specific services as determined by the association. The fees includes but not limited to the fees of application for import license recommendation, training fees, etc.
- Member factories must ensure that minimum 70% of imported raw materials has been exported after manufacturing finished goods in any given year. Members falling short of this limit will be ineligible to process import license recommendation applications through the MGMA Online System.
- Must complete and submit the VLCA Submission Form annually, demonstrating compliance with national labor laws and international labor standards. Renewal of membership requires the successful submission and assessment of the VLCA.
- Must diligently perform duties assigned by the association, utilizing both physical and intellectual capabilities. Adherence to MGMA’s regulations, codes of conduct, and ethical standards is mandatory.
- Must provide industry-related information collected by the association.
- Members are responsible for promptly updating the association with any changes in their operational status or contact information.

- Members are responsible for contribution to the association’s initiatives aimed at industry development and compliance enhancement.
- Members are expected to actively participate in events organized by MGMA, including meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Non-compliance with the terms of membership may result in disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination of membership.
