This strategic plan aims “ to position the Myanmar garment industry for long-term success by addressing current challenges, leveraging opportunities, and fostering a collaborative and innovative industry environment”. It seeks to pursue strategic goals to make the Myanmar garment industry the highest revenue-earning industry in Myanmar and to penetrate the global market by offering high-quality, vale-led products produced in an ethical and sustainable manner.

10-Year Strategy (2015-2024)
In mid-2015, the MGMA introduced a long-term strategy for industrial growth & development in Myanmar’s garment sector. Developed in consultation with international brands, local garment factories and Myanmar trade union federations, the MGMA’s strategy is a guide for responsible sector development. The MGMA is convinced that high social compliance standards and an environmentally sustainable production base are essential elements to ensure the Myanmar’s burgeoning garment industry competes effectively on the global stage.
