Myanmar’s apparel industry is small compared with our neighbors in Bangladesh, China and Thailand, but we are currently experiencing robust and sustained growth as international investors and retailers discover the attractive features of our industry. Garment sector exports revenues are jumping significantly each year, and the continued growth of the industry will surely create hundreds of thousands of new jobs in the years to come.

Import License Recommendation
The Import License Recommendation is an official endorsement issued by the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) for member factories engaged in Cut-Make-Pack (CMP) garment manufacturing. This recommendation is required when applying for an import license and must be obtained through the MGMA Online Portal.

Need help? Join MGMAemp. MGMA Employers' Package (MGMAemp) is a service package developed by Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) for employers in labour intensive industries like garment.
While the association's Voluntary Labour Compliance Assessment (VLCA) is ensuring all members meet the baseline of compliance with the national labour laws, the Employers' Package is a helping hand for the employers in regard to labour laws, occupational safety and health, social compliance and environment.
